(Christmas came early for the Calipatria Lion’s Club)….They received their present earlier this month.
The Imperial Irrigation District and Citizen’s United presented the Calipat Lions with a check for $10,000. The award was part of Citizen’s United agreement with the IID to assist and aid with community projects. The Club says the award comes at the perfect time, and it will go a long way in helping the community. The recently reformed Lion’s Club says they will work with the local community and the recently re-formed Calipatria Chamber of Commerce to promote events in the City of Calipatria. The next event in Calipat will be Saturday’s Christmas in the Dark at Rademacker Park.
