(DUI Enforcement Detail)…It will be in effect throughout the Halloween Weekend.
It is part of Yuma County Sheriff’s Office ongoing traffic safety campaign. They will be conducting a DUI enforcement detail this Halloween Weekend from Thursday October 31st through November 3rd. It is an effort to detect, stop and arrest alcohol and drug impaired drivers. Not only will the Sheriff’s Deputies be increasing patrols throughout Yuma County, but they will also be targeting areas with a high rate of recurrence for DUI related collisions and/or arrests. They say they will aggressively enforce the Blood alcohol concentration laws. Funding for the campaign is provided through a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The funds ensure that as many Deputies as possible are on the roadway during the four day period.
