The City of El Centro has postponed the grand opening of the new Aquatic Center.
The grand opening of the City of El Centro Aquatic Center was scheduled for Saturday , September 21, 2019 but , due to construction delays , the ribbon-cutting has been delayed. El Centro City Manager Marcela Piedra said , " We are all excited and eager to open the aquatic facility for the enjoyment of our community. We ask your patience and understanding as we finish this important recreational facility. It is not uncommon to experience construction delays in new projects and our hope was that this new facility would be opened by September 21st as initially planned. The City anticipates that the new grand opening date will be October 26 , 2019.
