Three suspected illegal immigrants were rescued from the All American Canal east of Calexico last week.

According to the U.S. Border Patrol the incident occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. Agents on patrol heard yells for help coming the dangerous waters of the canal. The agents located three individuals attempting to reach the canal bank and struggling in the swift waters. A water rescue device was deployed and the three were pulled from the water. None of the men needed medical attention as they were uninjured but exhausted. All three were determined to be Mexican citizens and all were taken into custody.
