Border Patrol agents rescued a pregnant woman and 12 others in three separate incidents last week.

 Late Tuesday afternoon , Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents discovered footprints along the U.S. / Mexico border. Agents located two individuals who had entered the U.S. illegally , a pregnant woman who was showing signs of dehydration and a man claiming to be a minor. The woman was treated at Yuma Regional Medical Center and the second subject who claimed to be a 17-year old Guatemalan national was found to be a 24-year old Mexican citizen. The man said that he was told that claiming to be an unaccompanied child would ensure his release in The U.S.

On Wednesday morning , Blythe Station agents were notified that a group of 9 illegal aliens were lost in the desert near Blythe. The California Highway Patrol deployed a fixed-wing aircraft to assist in locating the group. Border Patrol agents were able to apprehend the group with out incident.

Later Wednesday , Yuma Station agents located 2 subjects in rural Yuma near the international border. One of the men was unconscious and apparently suffering from heat exhaustion. A second subject , who claimed to be a 17-year old juvenile , was also suffering from heat exhaustion. He was later determined to be a 24-year old Mexican citizen. Both were treated and released at YRMC and then processed for immigration violations. The two m24-year old men from Mexico were found to be brothers travelling separately who told by smugglers to make the false claims.
