(Residential fire)…A family was displaced.
The family woke up Tuesday to discover their home was on fire. Rural Metro Fire Department responded to the mobile home near County 18th Street and Avenue A. The fire destroyed one mobile home and quickly spread to a second mobile home. Both were owned by the same family. Firefighters spent almost 3 hours bringing the fire under control. Both Mobile Homes were destroyed, displacing the family of 8. The American Red Cross was assisting the family with clothes, shelter and other resources. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
