(Two caught sneaking drugs to inmates)….Both were caught by personnel at the Calipatria State Prison.
Officials say 22-year-old Brandy Raymia Dykes of Lancaster, California had gone to the prison to visit convicted murderer Charles Edward Nero. Prison staff searched Nero and found two bindles of narcotics. They say the inmate pushed one of the staff down during the search, and he ran off to flush one of the bindles down a toilet. The bindle was retrieved. It was found to contain 46 grams of marijuana. Dykes consented to a search of her vehicle, and staff found a bindle containing 35 grams of methamphetamine. Nero was placed in the prison’s administrative segregation. Dykes was booked into Imperial County Jail. In the second, and separate incident, 19-year-old Olivia Ashley Cox of Rancho Cucamonga was visiting Chae Wall, who had been convicted of 2nd Degree robbery. A search of Wall resulted in the discovery of pockets sewn into his pants. Cox was questioned and searched, and she relinquished a bindle containing 86.2 grams of suspected marijuana. Wall was also placed in administrative segregation and Cox was booked into County Jail.
