(24 year old El Centro resident in custody)…He was arrested Wednesday morning.
El Centro Police were looking for Manuel Juarez after his girlfriend claimed he had battered her. Police went to Juarez’ residence in the 1500 Block of Lenrey. A search of the residence resulted in the discovery of ammunition, a sawed off shotgun, a homemade silencer and a small amount of methamphetamine. As a convicted felon, Juarez is not allowed to possess firearms or ammunition. He was placed under arrest. Police say they have requested assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They are also investigating the suspect’s possible involvement in a shooting incident.
