The Minnesota Twins have acquired veteran reliever , and former Brawley Wildcat , Sergio Romo from the Miami Marlins.

Romo brings the Twins a  veteran with plenty of experience including three World Series-winning Sam Francisco Giants teams. The Twins also picked up right hander Chris Vallimont and a player to be named later. The Marlins received first baseman Lewin Diaz in return. Romo , 36 , has 17 saves with the Marlins this year with a 3.58 ERA. He has played for the Giants , Dodgers , Rays and Marlins over 12 seasons.
