(Storm sweeps through the County)…The out-laying areas were hardest hit.

The storms hit the Ocotillo area early Tuesday morning before moving to the extreme eastern Imperial County. Ogilby Road was closed due to flooding Tuesday night at mid-morning Wednesday was still closed. Gusty winds hit the North County. The Air Pollution Control District issued Air Quality Alerts for the Westmorland area. The alerts were for very high levels of PM 10, mostly dust in the air. Air Quality was listed as Very Unhealthy to Hazardous overnight. By Wednesday morning the levels of PM 10 had lowered, and Air Quality was listed as Moderate. The National Weather Service says storm chances will diminish Thursday, and temperatures will begin to increase.
