(Hay Truck fire)…It was reported at just before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.
The truck was Southbound on Highway 7, near Heber Road. Southbound traffic was blocked on the Highway from McCabe Road. Imperial County Fire responded to the fire, that destroyed the hay and caused major damage to the rig. The California Highway Patrol says the driver of the truck was out of the rig and walking around when they arrived. As of Mid Morning Wednesday debris from the fire was still being cleaned up. The CHP will investigate to determine the cause of the fire.
