The National Weather Service ( NWS ) says that the Monsoon will become more active early next week.

The Monsoon , moisture building up from the south , may bring showers and thunderstorms to southwest Arizona and parts of Imperial County. NWS says there is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11:00 a.m. Monday with a high temperature near 105. That 20% chance of precipitation will continue through Tuesday night. If the thunderstorms develop you can expect blowing dust pushed by strong storm associated winds. Imperial Valley weather should return to more normal conditions by Wednesday.
