(Two arrested)…CPS takes the children.
It happened earlier this week. 38 year old Robert Veliz was crossing the border at the West Port, when it was discovered he was in possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Veliz was arrested, and a follow-up led investigators to a home on East Main Street in Heber. They found 41 year old Vicky Reed and two small children. They also found Reed in possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested and Child Protective Services were called to take possession of the children. Veliz and Reed were both booked into County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000 each.
