(60 Year old woman suffers fatal injuries)…..The woman was involved in a single vehicle collision
. An Imperial County Sheriff’s Deputy was driving Highway 86 near Salton City at around 4:00 Sunday afternoon. The deputy noticed on old Ice Cream truck had crashed into a wash. The Deputy investigated and found the woman, identified as Pamela Flake dead inside the vehicle. Deputy Coroner Stephan Green said the investigation determined the woman was living in the old ice cream truck. He said she was driving north on the Highway when the vehicle drifted off the roadway, and drove head-on into the wash. Green said her foot was still on the accelerator, and the rear tires were spinning in the air. The Deputy Coroner said the woman had been dead 2-4 hours before the collision was discovered. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
