(Further legal action averted)….The IID had filed a lawsuit against the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.
The action was in response to an ordinance the Supervisors had adopted in June 2018. The ordinance changed the Imperial Irrigation District’s net metering program to the same rules used by Southern California Edison. The IID won a temporary injunction, stopping the ordinance in November 2018. The Riverside Board of Supervisors have now voted to repeal the ordinance, averting any further legal action. The action takes effect on July 26th, 30 days after the Board action.
