(First Free Fishing Day of the year)….It happens next month.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says the first Free Fishing day this year in California will be held July 6th. It is an opportunity for seasoned anglers to introduce friends, neighbors or family members to the sport they enjoy. All fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures will remain in effect. The CDFW offers two annual free fishing days. The second one will be on Saturday, August 31st.
