(18 year old arrested at Calexico Port)….Daisy Garcia of El Centro was walking across the border.
She was referred to the secondary inspection area after the CBP officer noticed a bulge around her waist. A Narcotics detection dog alerted to the 18 year old. A search of the woman resulted in the discovery of two packages taped to her body. The packages tested positive for methamphetamine, and weighed 2.4 pounds. She was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents. She was booked into county jail, charged with attempted smuggling of narcotics.
