He owns several radio stations in Baja California and in California. He had served 12 years as an elected official for the Otay Mesa Water District in Chula Vista. He left that position in 2012 to campaign to campaign for Lopez Obrador’s Presidential race. If Bonilla is elected Governor, it would end 30 years of political control in Baja California by Mexico’s National Action Party.
