(Motorists be aware)….The City of Imperial has lowered the speed limit.
It is on Highway 86 as it travels through the City limits. Beginning today, Wednesday, the speed limit on Highway 86 is 45 miles per hour. The reduced speed begins at the City Limits markers. To the north at Ralph Road and Treshill Road to the south. The City lowered the speed limit to enhance safety features for active transportation and pedestrian crossings along the Imperial corridor, and to further stimulate economic growth for the community.
