The Homeless Emergency Aid Program has alloted over $4 million in grant money to be used to pay for programs that will assist the Homeless in Imperial County. Applications for the grant funds are currently being accepted. However, applicants must attend one of two workshops being hosted by the County Departmentr of Social Services. The first one is being held Wednesday at 9:30 am. The second workshop is being held Friday at 1:30 pm. Both workshops will be at the CalWorks Building, in Room A, on South 4th Street in El Centro. Attendance at one of the Applicant Conference and Technical Assistance Workshop is a mandatory requirement for those interested in submitting a proposal.
