(March is Women’s History Month)…It ends Sunday.
A reception has been scheduled to recognize distinguished women in Imperial County. They will be recognized by Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia. The women were chosen from a list of nominations submitted to the Assemblyman’s office. The 2019 Distinguished Women Honorees include; Martha Singh, Assistant Director of the Imperial County and San Diego CAL-SOAP; Anne Irigoye3n, Chief Administrative Officer for Ametza LLC and Mendi Logistics; Marlene Thomas, community activist; Adriana Buelna, Program Coordinator/Clerk of Ventanilla de Salud- Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District; and Cristina Roberts, Senior Volunteer. The event will be held at the back patio of Las Chabelas, 749 South Brawley Avenue in Brawley, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm Sunday.
