(Another shooting in Brawley)…This one was reported at 8:57 Monday evening.
The Brawley Police Department has issued a press release. They say officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of North 7th Street and A Street. Officers arrived and found a 38 year old victim of a gunshot wound in the 700 block of A Street. Medical personnel from the Brawley Fire Department and AMR ambulance services responded to the scene to treat the victim for multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an out of county hospital and is expected to survive his wounds. Police officials say the incident is being investigated as an attempted homicide by the Brawley Police Department’s Investigations Division. They say it is unclear if the shooting is connected to a fatal shooting that occurred the night before. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Rotner at 760-351-7777.
