(County Board of Supervisors meet Tuesday)….There will be a slight change to their new meeting format.

The Board will hold public comments before the Board reports. This will allow Board members to respond to public comments that request a response. The Supervisors convene into public session at 10:00 am. At 10:20 the Board will be asked to adopt resolutions recognizing Liza Batis and Joan Durham for 18 years service to the County, each. Another resolution will be to honor Lazaro Sardin for 30 years service to the county. On the action agenda, the Supervisors will discuss Assembly Bill 854 introduced by Assemblyman Chad Mayes. The Imperial Irrigation District recently voted to strongly oppose the bill, and they sent an e-mail to the Assemblyman detailing the reasons why they opposed his bill. The IID says the bill threatens their water rights.
