(Residential Burglary)…It was reported Monday in the 1800 block of Desert Gardens in El Centro.

The residents had been out of town. They returned and found their home had been burglarized. El Centro Police Criminal Investigations followed up on the report Tuesday. One lead led them to a suspect vehicle, a White Dodge Avenger. The license plate was entered into the computer, and the vehicle was spotted on Dogwood Road. Investigators stopped the vehicle near Hamilton. There were 3 individuals inside, 20 year old Faith Estrada, 43 year old Miguel Quines, and 20 year old Isiah McQueen. The 3 were taken to the station for questioning. That led investigators to the 400 block of Driftwood and the Premier Inn on Adams Avenue. At least 3 people fled the Motel Room 124 when investigators arrived. One of them was identified as 40 year old Jessie Herrera. He was captured at 7th and Woodward. Herrera had a backpack containing two firearms that had been taken in the burglary. Three have been arrested and booked into County Jail charged with Burglary or possession of stolen property. Officials say portions of the investigation remain under investigation. In all 2 firearms, ammunition and miscellaneous jewelry stolen in the burglary were recovered.
