(February if Heart Health Month)…Pioneers Memorial Healthcare district is celebrating the month.
PMH is an affiliate of the Scripps Health Network. It is estimated that one in four deaths are caused by heart disease and that it is also the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States each year, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Attributing factors to heart disease include high blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol and smoking, to name a few. PMH is celebrating the month by promoting good heart health.
