(The County’s Highest Honor)….It was handed out Tuesday.

At the County Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board posthumously presented the Medal of Merit to Abe Seabolt. Seabolt was born in Oklahoma in 1935, but moved with his family to Brawley, were he attended school, graduating from Brawley Union High School. Abe Seabolt was a successful business man, husband and father, before he entered public service. He served on the Brawley City County, before serving three terms on the County Board of Supervisors. In addition to being presented the County’s highest honor, the City of Brawley presented him with the key to the city. Both were presented to Abe’s son Stephen, in honor of Abe Seabolt.
