A wind advisory has been issued.

The National Weather Service says that strong breezes will again spread over southeast California and the Lower Colorado River Valley. Wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour will be possible , especially for Western Joshua Tree National Park and up to 45 miles per hour along the Colorado River Valley. Some patchy blowing dust and strong cross winds are expected. The wind advisory is in effect through Tuesday , January 22. 

Strong winds toppled power lines near Jasper and Bowker Roads early Monday morning closing the roadway and keeping IID crews busy for about 8 hours. A tree was reportedly blown over in the area of State Route 98 and Menvielle Road blocking a westbound lane of the highway for a brief period.
