Two small earthquakes were recorded in the north end of the Imperial Valley.
The first temblor , registering magnitude 3.4 , was reported at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday with an epicenter about 14.5 miles north northwest of Brawley. At about 5:39 a.m. Thursday a magnitude 3.0 earthquake was recorded in approximately the same area. There were no reports of damage.
