(Border Air Pollution)….Once again, very high levels of PM 2.5.

The Air Pollution Control District began issuing Air Quality Alerts Thursday night. By 2:00 am the Particulate Matter had increased to very high levels. Air Quality was listed as Unhealthy at the Ethel Street Monitoring Station. Levels of PM 2.5 remained at the Unhealthy level through mid-morning Friday. People most affected by the high levels of PM 2.5 are those with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly and children. It is highly recommended that those in the High Risk groups avoid heavy exertion and remain indoors as much as possible until the levels decrease. PM 2.5 is a finite Particulate Matter created mostly from vehicle emissions.
