(IID enters the New Year with a new GM)….Henry Martinez had been named to succeed Kevin Kelley.
Kelley retired as the General Manager of the Imperial Irrigation District at the end of the year. Towards the end of December the IID Board held a closed session in which they approved a three year contract with Martinez. The new General Manager will make $328,000 per year. This compares to the $256,000 contract awarded Kelley during his tenure as GM. Other than salary, the contract is comparable to what was offered Kelley.
