(Four Fatalities over the Holiday Period)….The California Highway Patrol went into their Maximum Enforcement Period December 28th at 6:00 pm.
It ended at 11:59 pm January 1st. All four fatalities were reported in the CHP’s El Centro Sector. There were also four Major Injury collisions, 2 minor injury collisions and 4 property damage only collisions. During the New Year’s Holiday period the CHP made 6 DUI arrests. The CHP’s Winterhaven Sector recorded one property damage only collision. The stats for the Christmas Holiday have not been released.
