- A 32-year old Guatemalan man was arrested for a warrant charging Sexual Assault of a Child.
U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Hector Rene Portillo at about 9:40 a.m. Friday. He was suspected of making an illegal entry into the United States about 18 miles west of Calexico. After being taken to the Border Patrol El Centro station it was determined that there was an active extraditable warrant out of Kaufman County , Texas for the charges. Portillo will be criminally prosecuted for illegal entry and when that case is resolved he will be extradited to Texas for the Sexual Assault charges.
