(Vehicle in a canal)…It was reported last Friday.
The vehicle was involved in a collision, and landed in the canal near the Imperial Valley Mall. It was reported the family in the vehicle were not injured. The reason for that is thanks to an off-duty US Customs and Border Protection Officer. It turns out the Officer, who has not been identified, jumped into the canal and retrieved a 3 month old baby, a 13 year old girl, a 15 year old girl and the female driver of the vehicle. All were rescued from the submerged vehicle and all reportedly uninjured. No information has been made available on the Good Samaritan who risked his life to rescue the family.
