(Sirens screamed Saturday)…Emergency vehicles raced towards Target in El Centro.
Actually, they did not race, though it seemed like that to some resident who did not know what was going on. What was going on was the annual shop with a cop. Over 100 first responders escorted over 100 children to target for a shopping spree. The kids from low income families were treated to breakfast and a $100 shopping spree, to purchase Christmas presents they otherwise would not have had. They also got to meet and talk with Jolly Old Saint Nick during the event.
