According to the U.S. Border Patrol , a pair of teenagers from Guatemala were injured attempting to illegally enter the United States.

The incident occurred Friday afternoon just east of the San Luis Port of Entry. Six illegal immigrants from Guatemala crossed the border by scaling over the border wall. A 14-year old girl , travelling with her mother , fell off the wall and sustained a serious back injury. A 17-year old unaccompanied girl attempted to cross immediately after the first girl and also fell off the wall with an ankle injury resulting from the fall. When Border Patrol agents arrived on the scene they requested medical assistance. The 14-year old was transported to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment. The 17-year old was treated and released at Yuma Regional Medical Center. The remaining 4 illegal aliens were taken into custody.
