The Imperial County Board of Supervisors and their Riverside counterparts scheduled the ceremony for Monday afternoon. The Memorandum of Understanding confirms the unified support on the Salton Sea between the two counties. Speaking at the ceremony; Imperial County District 5 Supervisor and Chairman of the Board Raymond Castillo, Riverside District 4 Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, Salton Sea Authority General Manager Phil Rosentrater and representatives from the Imperial Irrigation District, Torres-Martinez Tribe Council and Coachella Valley Water District. The signing ceremony was set for the Travertine Building in Thermal, California.
