(Another Unofficial Election Update)…It may be the last Unofficial Update.
The Elections Department issued the update Monday evening. It indicates all the ballots from the November 6th General Election have been counted. The update will not be official until the ballots are canvassed and the election certified. The Elections Department has until December 6th to certify the election. It is possible certification will come before the deadline. The unofficial indication is that there was an over 45 percent voter turnout in the November elections, much higher than previous General Elections. There did not appear to be any major changes in any of the races or measures that were on the ballot.
