Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Mount Signal 2, a solar energy project in Calexico developed by D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments. Also known as DESRI. The groundbreaking ceremony represented yet another successful alternative energy project development in the Imperial Valley. During the opening ceremony, DESRI Executive Hy Martin presented a check to IVDEC for the amount of $50,000. Martin said they were thrilled to support the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation as they expand economic opportunity in Imperial County and beyond. He said DESRI was committed to growing the renewable energy economy in the Imperial Valley and across California.
