(Strike Team to be honored)….The ceremony will be Thursday morning.
State Senator Ben Hueso will be in the Valley to honor the Imperial County Strike Team that assisted this past summer in the Mendocino Complex Fire in Northern California. The Senator said the Imperial Valley Team went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting in combating the wildfire. A Strike Team consists of Crews and Equipment from five to six local departments. The ceremony will be held at 9:00 am Thursday at the El Centro Fire Station on Waterman Avenue.
