(Action to help the Homeless)…It was taken this week by the County Board of Supervisors.
The Board approved a declaration of Shelter Crisis. This allowed the Department of Social Services to apply for a grant from the Homeless Emergency Air Program. The Supervisors also approved a resolution to authorize the Social Services Department to apply for California Emergency Solutions and Housing Notice of Funding Availability. It was previously announced that Imperial County could possibility qualify for up to $6 million to assist the Homeless in Imperial county.
