(Nominations are now being accepted)….The City of El Centro is taking the Nominations.
They are for the Cities Mardi Gras King And Queen. They are looking for one prominent male and female within the community. The Mardi Gras King and Queen will host the City of El Centro’s Mardi Gras King and Queen coronation reception January 17. They will also participate in interviews with various media entities to promote the Mardi Gras Light Parade and Street Festival and ride on the last float in the Mardi Gras Parade on February 23. The deadline to submit nominations is 5:00 pm October 31st. They must be submitted to the El Centro Community Center at 375 South 1st Street. Nomination forms are available at the community center. Applications can be found on the City of El Centro website.
