(Voter Registration Week)…It was approved Tuesday by the County Board of Supervisors.
The Proclamation says the special week will be from September 23rd through September 29th. It is designed to coincide with the National Voter Registration Day on September 25th. It is an effort to get more people registered to vote in the November elections. During the week, the County Registrar of Voters will conduct various community outreach events and activities. Te Registrar, Debra Porter, says she wants to take an active role in creating a broad awareness of voter registration opportunities for eligible voters, since voter registration deadline for the upcoming election is fast approaching.
