(County expected to have a budget Tuesday)…The new spending plan is for fiscal year 2018-19.

At their meeting Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors are expected to take measures to balance the proposed budget, before voting to approve the spending plan. The measures expected include transferring funds from Behavioral Health, Public Health Realignment, from the Public Agency Retirement Services and the Welfare Advance Fund. The approximately $6 million transferred will cover an anticipated deficit and balance the spending plan for the next fiscal year. The Tuesday Board meeting is open to the public at 9:30 in the morning and is held in the Administration Center on Main Street in El Centro.
