(September usually signifies the start of cooler weather)…Not this month.

Not yet, anyway. The National Weather Service says there will be another hot weekend in Imperial County. Excessively hot. The Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Saturday. Temperatures will range from 109 to 114 throughout the day. It is not only in Imperial County, but in Yuma and Southern Riverside Counties as well. The Weather Service says the Dangerously hot temperatures may lead to illness or death without proper precautions. Stay indoors, in an air-conditioned environment as much as possible. If you must go outdoors, stay hydrated, drink a lot of water, know where the Cool Centers are near you, and do not over exert yourself. Those working outdoors need to take frequent breaks, stay in shaded areas as much as possible and stay hydrated. Never, under any circumstances leave a child or animal locked in a parked vehicle for any amount of time for any reason.
