(Another Convicted Sex Offender Arrested)…This was the 33rd this fiscal year.
The latest arrest occurred recently, late at night. It was just east of Calexico. Border Patrol agents detained 40-year-old Daniel Rodriguez Castellanos. It turned out the man was a Mexican Citizen without the proper documents to be in this country. He was taken to the El Centro Border Patrol station, where a records check revealed the man had been convicted in May 2000 in California for having sex with a minor. He had been sentenced to 180 days in jail and 36 months probation. He is being held for prosecution.
