(Sheriff’s office investigating theft)….Over $2,000 in farm equipment was stolen recently.
The equipment was taken from a company near Austin Road and Evan Hewes Highway. Investigators say the thieves made off with six hay savers, valued at around $1,800, and nine packages of yellow stampede twine. The twine was valued at around $250. The theft is under investigation. Agricultural theft is still the number one crime in Imperial County.
