(The City of Imperial follows a trend)….California some time ago passed the California Values Act.

That act made the state a Sanctuary State. The law prevents law enforcement from investigating or arresting immigration violations. Several cities and communities have decided they do not want to be sanctuary cities. The City of Imperial is the latest. The Council adopted a resolution recently going against the California Values Act. Critics say the city does not have the power to counter state law. Others say at least the city has made a statement.
