(Pawnee Fire update)…According to the latest report, the fire is now 56 percent contained.
Firefighters apparently have stopped the movement of the fire at 13,700 acres. An Imperial County Strike team is among the over 3,000 firefighters working to fully contain the blaze. The fire was originally reported July 23rd. It has destroyed 22 structures. Evacuations have been lifted in some areas. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
