(A scary situation in Mexicali)…A Calexico School principal was detained late last week.
Law enforcement officers stopped and searched the vehicle being driven by 39 year old Oscar Olivarria. Olivarria is the principal for Calexico Mission School. The officers found a suspicious substance. They decided it was an illegal narcotic, and Olivarria was taken to jail. Mexicali news media says that a Mexicali Prosecutor later determined the substance was not a narcotic, and Olivarria was released. Olivarria has not been available for comment.
