(Two Brush fires)…Both reported near Campo this week.
Quick action by Cal Fire is being attributed with stopping the fires before they spread. The first fire was reported Monday. That fire threatened a home near Campo, before firefighters stopped the forward movement of the fire at 9 acres. Tuesday a brush fire was reported near the Acorn Casino. Firefighters stopped that fire at 10 acres. At last report the Tuesday fire was 70 percent contained. Both fires burned only brush, and no structural damage or injuries were reported. The cause of both fires are under investigation.
